Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair Announces 8–11 April 2027 Debut In Basel
Just a few days after Watches And Wonders announced its 2027 dates, Basilia has followed suit and made an announcement of their official dates for 2027. A new chapter in the global jewellery and watch trade fair calendar is set to begin as the inaugural Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair, scheduled to take place from 8 to 11 April 2027 in Hall 2 of Messe Basel. Designed as a dedicated international B2B platform for the jewellery, watch and gemstone industries, the event aims to bring together manufacturers, suppliers, independent brands, retailers and buyers from across the globe.
The April dates further strengthen Basel's position as the industry's springtime meeting point, while addressing a clear gap in the European trade fair landscape. Through the collaboration between MCH Group and Informa Markets operator of the world's largest B2B jewellery network with deep expertise in creating global platforms for the jewellery and gemstone sectors Basilia is positioned as a comprehensive marketplace for the international trade. "Basel will become the centre of the international jewellery and watch world from 8 to 11 April 2027," says Roman Imgrüth, CEO Exhibitions & Events of MCH Group. "Our new fair, Basilia, complements the existing ecosystem and creates a marketplace open to the entire industry."

Dan Ye, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Informa Markets in Asia, agrees, saying, “Basilia isn’t just another fair − it’s a platform built with intention, designed for buyers with a clear mission. Our April timing creates natural synergy within Switzerland’s trade calendar and positions us perfectly within the global jewellery circuit.”
Highlighting the breadth of the event, Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, adds, “We are curating the full spectrum: Aspirational luxury meets high jewellery, boutique brands stand alongside independent watchmakers, and premier suppliers of diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls exhibit together with providers of innovative jewellery technology. It is a deliberate mix that serves independent retailers, buyers from Europe and beyond, and decision-makers who seek quality, diversity and choice. The early industry response tells us we have struck the right chord.”
The inaugural edition of the Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair will feature more than 400 exhibitors, all presented under the theme "City Under Construction." The exhibition will be organised into immersive neighbourhoods and districts, offering visitors a curated journey through the many facets of the global jewellery and watch industry. The dates coincide with the highly anticipated Watches And Wonders 2027 edition which will run from 5-11 April 2027. To know more about the show. click here.
