A Nod to a Rare 1960s Prototype
Both watches replicate key features of the vintage 6152/1 archetype while introducing modern technical refinements. Most notably, the dials feature a subtle, tone-on-tone “Panerai Firenze” inscription sitting just below the 12 o'clock numeral. The models also capture the spirit of historic mid-century aesthetics through several distinctive features. Both timepieces incorporate the iconic flat crown-protecting bridge, with the Platinumtech model serving as the first production piece to feature grooved inner sides on the bridge, a functional detail originally designed to improve grip for gloved hands. Additionally, gently domed sapphire crystals recall the look of the Perspex crystals utilized on vintage Luminor watches from the 1960s.
