Geneva's biggest date on the watchmaking calendar just got bigger. Watches and Wonders Geneva 2027 will run from 5 to 11 April 2027, and the organizers have already confirmed thirteen new exhibiting brands, a completely redesigned show floor, and an expanded seven-day In The City program, cementing Geneva's status as watchmaking's undisputed cultural capital. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know.

Thirteen New Brands Join the Salon

The headline news is growth. Watches and Wonders Geneva 2027 will welcome thirteen new names to the Salon: Akhor, Alain Silberstein, Berneron, Breva Genève, Fortis, Kerbedanz, Porsche Design, Singer Reimagined, and Stollenwurm, alongside Breitling, Damiani, Gallet, and Universal Genève - brands whose participation was first announced back in June 2026. That brings the total exhibitor count to 75, split across three distinct zones:

  • The Main Hall will now house to 32 leading watchmaking Maisons
  • The Carré des Horlogers will have upto 27 independent and boutique brands, a number that has tripled over the past decade
  • The Mezzanine continues to gain momentum with 16 brands

This steady expansion of the Carré des Horlogers in particular is worth watching, it's fast becoming the Salon's engine room for independent watchmaking talent, and a strong signal of where collector interest is heading.

A New Scenography Inspired by the Swiss Landscape

For 2027, Watches and Wonders is tearing up its usual show-floor blueprint. The new scenography inside Palexpo draws inspiration from the lakes and mountains surrounding Geneva, with wider, more spacious aisles designed to ease visitor flow and improve the overall experience, a notable shift after several years of steadily rising attendance (the Salon drew nearly 60,000 unique visitors in 2026).

In The City Expands to a Full Seven Days

The Salon's public-facing arm, In The City, is also growing from its previous run to a full seven-day program across the city of Geneva. Expect:

  • The Watchmaking Village
  • Brand activations hosted inside boutiques across the city
  • Live demonstrations from artisans and independent makers
  • Cultural and musical events dedicated to the art of watchmaking

It's part of a broader push by the organizers to make watchmaking feel less like an industry trade show and more like a citywide cultural moment accessible to newcomers, families, and seasoned collectors alike.

It's a list that captures exactly what makes Watches and Wonders Geneva significant: legacy houses and the next generation of watchmaking, under one roof.

Why It Matters

Watches and Wonders Geneva has, in just a few years, become the single most important fixture on the global watch calendar and the 2027 o edition looks set to raise the bar further. A bigger exhibitor list, a redesigned Salon experience, and a full week of city-wide programming all point to an event that's leaning further into accessibility, without losing the prestige that draws collectors and Maisons to Geneva in the first place.

We'll be tracking further announcements including brand-specific previews and what to expect on the ground as the event approaches. Stay tuned to The Hour Markers for continued coverage.
