Stepping out of the confines of a traditional workshop workbench, Mr Gloor sought to bridge a gap he observed in independent watchmaking, moving away from strictly modern designs to embrace a refined classicism and elegance. “The Youhr one is not simply just a collection; it is my vision of watchmaking.” Mr Gloor remarked. Powered by an ultra-thin Vaucher 5400 automatic calibre entirely reworked within his workshop, the YOUHR One features a distinctive cushion-shaped case, an exclusive hand-guilloché dial, and an uncompromising human touch completely untouched by artificial intelligence. 

Shaped By Legends: George Daniels And Svend Andersen
Reflecting on the foundations of his career, the discussion turned to the pivotal mentors who shaped his path. Recalling a fateful teenage encounter with horological legend George Daniels, Mr Gloor talked about how he was invited to the Isle of Man workshop and the lessons he learnt while he was there. “I met George Daniels as a teenager who had no ambition to become a watchmaker.” Mr Gloor shared. This however changed and Mr Gloor then went on to explain how the development of this naive, early spark transformed into a lifelong vocation. That traditional, hands-on discipline was further deepened during his time restoring historic components with Svend Andersen for the Patek Philippe Museum. He explained that “ When it comes to historic watches, you cannot change the components. Hence the first step during my career in Svend Andersen was to learn the traditional techniques of watchmaking.” Further, embracing Andersen's core philosophy to think outside established tracks, Mr Gloor translated those historical restoration techniques into creating a micro-guilloche pattern fine enough to grace the ultra-slim components of his own modern movements. 

A Collaborative Vision With Jacqueline Dimier
A defining pillar of the YOUHR One’s aesthetic is its striking visual identity, born from a 25-year professional partnership and deep friendship with Jacqueline Dimier who is celebrated as Audemars Piguet’s first female designer and the mind behind the women's Royal Oak in 1976. “I believe I met her in 1999 when we worked for the same watch brand and we never stopped working together ever since.” He said. Mr Gloor credited Dimier with giving the cushion-shaped case its unique architectural harmony, where the lines flow seamlessly across the band and integrated lugs to create an effortless elegance from every angle. Rather than following fleeting market trends, the collaboration focused entirely on visual clarity, emotional resonance, and timeless balance.
